“As Of Now” is a Hip Hop compilation album released April 1st 2022 on the Taot Recordings imprint. This 17 track release features music by several notable artists and producers from across North America. Artists such as Big Shug, Elzhi, Asun Eastwood, Maestro Fresh Wes, Deuce Deuce of Concrete Mob, Young Black & Gifted as well as Es, Righteous, Usual Suspektz, 8ch2Owens, Lord Juco, Blacktivity, Pro-Logic, Mr. ripley, Mayhem of EMS, Lejend, Van Glorious, Illah, Thirsty McGurk, Ikee Mula, Rashad Roulette, Fraction & Finsta. There's a track by Parliament Hill which is a meshing of Toronto rap group legends Point Blank & Concrete Mob. We can't forget that the late great Faith Walker appears on the album to add soulful flavour. Some amazing production by Statik Selektah, DJ Mercilless, J.Pal, Kidd Called Quest, Sibbs Roc, bvtman, Mista Murray, Architect & DJ Scam. Look out for a lot of singles from this release.

About Attack: The backstory for this one is pretty cool. I was writing this song and was stuck. A bit of writer’s block. I was seated in my living room with headphones on trying to write. My kids came in, turned on the TV to one of those National Geographic type shows. A segment came on where they were showing lions in the wilderness and how they hunt their prey. Pretty cool. Pure gold! The strategic nature of their attack made for an awesome song idea. So many parallels to how I approach my creative process. “Imagine if I approached a beat the same way a lion approaches its next meal. I wonder how that would sound…” Even got a special guest on this one too! Ha! Big shouts to my dude Righteous for making the collaboration happen! Salute! Es
