WASUN

Wasun has always been an artist who captures the heart and soul of hip-hop while infusing it with deep meaning. With the release of his latest album Earth Mother, Wasun takes us on a sonic journey filled with wisdom, reflection, and raw emotion. With several releases over the past two decades, it’s been incredible to watch his growth and transformation as an artist. With each album, Wasun has consistently delivered music that connects on a personal level. Earth Mother is no exception, and it may be his most powerful release yet.

In 2005, Wasun released his “What Must Be Done” album that includes the single “Building to Building” received much critical acclaim in Toronto’s independent Hip Hop scene. Wasun performed the underground hit at numerous Fred E Fame 5th Element Events in 2006. This album was followed up by a series of Mixtapes called “The Underground Railroad” and Wasun’s second album “The Prison Notebooks” in 2010. In 2016, Wasun returned with his third revolutionary release titled “Comrade Music” which included two singles and videos “Central Committee Report” and “Boom Bap Era” produced by legendary New York producer Domingo.

Wasun appeared on “For the Babies” on “The Administrator of Truth” mixtape by Righteous & the “Lyrical” single and video by Righteous from the “One Day” release. In 2018 Wasun appeared on the “Time” track on Sixman’s album “The Last King”. In 2020 Wasun also appeared Jordi LaForty “Classically Trained” Album on the track “Harris Babies”. Fast forward to 2024 Wasun appeared on the Flavanoids single “Not Like…” along with D.C. & Papoose.

Late 2024 Wasun dropped a powerful single titled “One Nation” before the release of “Earth Mother” which was embraced by college and online radio throughout the world. The second single from the album is the title track “Earth Mother” along with the video produced by Pro-Logic featuring Mystic Seed & Imani. Look out for more releases from Wasun throughout 2025.
