About Righteous

Since the rapid success of “Cause N Effect”, widely played throughout college radio across North America and Europe, Hip Hop artist Righteous has appeared in a string of independent films. The most notable being A Taste of Relations, which allowed his music to be embraced by a whole new audience. In fact, in 2009 at the Las Vegas International Film Festival Righteous won an award for best music in an independent film.

While soaking in success from the film industry, Righteous continued making music and in 2014 released the One Day EP, opened for Edo G and joined him back on stage to perform the DJ Premier produced classic “Sayin Somethin.” The accolades continued to sprout when Righteous concluded a national tour and became the main headliner for events and major venues in Toronto.

Between 2016-2018 the heat spread quickly for Righteous. He was a featured artist at Canadian Music Week as well as Music & Medicine Tour with headliner Curtis Young (son of rap Mogul Dr. Dre), appeared on the Mike Stoan Presents mixtape series & freestyle sessions, and was featured on “Time” on Sixman’s latest album titled ‘Last King.’ If that wasn’t enough, Righteous was fitted for a new role as Online radio host for “The Administrator Presents”. He’s had the experience of interviewing some

notable emcees in the game such as Positive K, Big Shug, Ruste Juxx, Yo Yo, The UMC’s - Kool Kim & Haas

G, Blaq Poet, Cassidy, Abu Velore of Valore & Double O, Cheryl the Pearl from the legendary group the

Sequence as well as a whole slew of Hip-Hop artists.

Righteous’s last EP titled ‘Be Conscious Of’ was released on all platforms July 15th, 2020. The EP features appearances by Es, G Dot & Born, Edo G, Eddie Kaine, Recognize Ali, Faith Walker & Dominique Gorley. The production is handled by Domingo,DJ Corbett, Statik Selektah & DJ Mercilless.

The leading single “CMO III” features Hip Hop Icon Craig G of the Juice Crew and vocalist Lomel.

Moving forward to 2022 "What is" featuring Ruste Juxx produced by DJ Mercilless is the first single from the latest release by Righteous entitled "and the DEVIL is.."   This release features appearances by AKX of Righteous Revolution, G FOX, Kool G Rap, Rashad Roulett, Thirsty McGurk,Van Glorious, Ikee Mula & Faith Walker.  Production is by DJ Mercilless, Ear 2 Tha Beat & bvtman
